Reed's First Baptism

We thought that we would like to share these pictures of Reed. One is of a big baptism that they had. Reed baptized the first fellow that he had found (repairing his bike along the sidewalk), taught and baptized. THe other one is the missionaries in front of the US Open.

Reed writes that the CHinese seem to like to eat every part of the animal that we don't..He also says the CHinese are much more polite to the missionaries.

Winter Scenes

A December snowstorm that dumped 4 inches in a couple of hours.

Ben making snow angels

How much snow we have now and have had for 3 weeks.

Somewhere is this snowbank is my cell phone.

As the thermometer dips into the single digits for the high in Idaho Falls, I have to remind myself how beautiful winter wonderlands can be. This winter has been the snowiest and coldest. We've had a foot of snow since December 24 and I don't think it's going to melt soon. Because I'm not a winter-sport person, I have a tendency to complain about the drab winter days, but then I remind myself of the holidays, the fireplace, and time spent indoors with my family playing games, eating popcorn, watching movies, and how good hot chocolate tastes and feels after being outside for awhile.

Todd and his family know how to enjoy the snow!

A winter from the past.

Checking out BYU Idaho

Laurie drove Steven, GAbe and a friend, Amanda Floto up to Rexburg to look over the campus and assess the housing situation. Reed was happy to see them and show them around. STeven thinks that he could enjoy going to school there.

Reed Gabrielsen, Man on the Go

This is Reed Austin Gabrielsen. His senior and missionary pictures were taken this year. He is attending BYU Idaho and enjoying it very much. He likes his missionary prep class, finds American Heritage boring, wonders about computer science as a major and likes to consult with his mother on English papers. An organ class is making good use of the years of piano practice. Notice his capable hands, they remind me of his father's.

Climbling to the top of the Horn

This mountain is over 13,000 feet and located in the Wastach front. What mountain did Reed, Lance, and Todd climb?
