HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DENAE

Yes, folks this is the big 25 for Denae. I wish that I had pictures of her driving around the Valley giving shots to diabetics, etc. However, enjoy some scenes from the past.

Mission Time for Reed

Reed got his mission call last Thursday. He will be serving in the New York South ( Mandarin Speaking). Some googling found that among others, it serves the 3rd largest Chinese speaking community in the nation. He will enter the mission home on May 14th.

Todd was in Montana so a conference call was made among him, Liz, Lance and Laine in Salt Lake and Reed and friends in Rexburg. Reed opened the summons, which was one of the first signed by President Monson, and read it to the excited gathering.

WE are so pleased with this opportunity that he has to learn a language and still have to express his testimony and knowledge in ENglish, too.

Boise and Birthday Bash

Monday, Vance and I drove to Boise to celebrate Mom's (Grandma's) 77th birthday. It was a gala affair. She requested Vance's infamous BBQ Salmon and garlic mashed potatoes. Joe, Laurie and boys came to celebrate. Stephen hopped up and did the dishes without being asked, I wanted to take a picture and show David how it works :-) Gabe tackled trying to fix some technical problem with Granpa's cable box. We topped it off with an vanilla and chocolate (yes you heard right - chocolate) ice cream cake from TCBY. It was yummy! The picture of mom isn't the great and the photographer is suspect.

Here is a picture of Grandpa settling in on a COLD, low energy day. It's his favorite place to sit and listen to books, watch TV and spend time with Grandma.

Winter Scenes

A December snowstorm that dumped 4 inches in a couple of hours.

Ben making snow angels

How much snow we have now and have had for 3 weeks.

Somewhere is this snowbank is my cell phone.

As the thermometer dips into the single digits for the high in Idaho Falls, I have to remind myself how beautiful winter wonderlands can be. This winter has been the snowiest and coldest. We've had a foot of snow since December 24 and I don't think it's going to melt soon. Because I'm not a winter-sport person, I have a tendency to complain about the drab winter days, but then I remind myself of the holidays, the fireplace, and time spent indoors with my family playing games, eating popcorn, watching movies, and how good hot chocolate tastes and feels after being outside for awhile.

Todd and his family know how to enjoy the snow!

A winter from the past.

Handsome Carson is Here!

Here are a couple of pictures of Carson Crockett, born December 24, 2007 at 1:03 AM. Quick glance he definitely is a Crockett, but he does have Mel's nose, upper lip, and big eyes. He's quite the handsome guy if you ask me:-)

My First Post

While I am feeding Kate, Ashley likes to do all sorts of things, one being giving us all a "hat" to wear

My butterfly and cute little pea in a pod.
Here are some pictures that we have taken recently. We finally had our own little family pictures on Saturday. We should have them back sometime this week so I am excited to see how they turned out. We are having a great time here in Arizona. Chad is working hard and I am working hard at spending all the money:)

Ashley loves her new little sister. They have a lot of fun together. Katelyn is smiling and recognizing us, such a fun age. She is so sweet. I love to beable to stay home with them. We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas:)

I am new to blogging so parden me for the mistakes in advance. It can't be that difficult can it?
