While I am feeding Kate, Ashley likes to do all sorts of things, one being giving us all a "hat" to wear
My butterfly and cute little pea in a pod.
Here are some pictures that we have taken recently. We finally had our own little family pictures on Saturday. We should have them back sometime this week so I am excited to see how they turned out. We are having a great time here in Arizona. Chad is working hard and I am working hard at spending all the money:)
Ashley loves her new little sister. They have a lot of fun together. Katelyn is smiling and recognizing us, such a fun age. She is so sweet. I love to beable to stay home with them. We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas:)
I am new to blogging so parden me for the mistakes in advance. It can't be that difficult can it?

Steven & Gabe in Nativity Presentation.
Steven was an angel who played the guitar in the neighborhood pageant on Saturday night the 8th. Joe, Ron and Todd went over and pronounced it well down in every aspect. Gabe was one of the Wise Men.

Jenn's Shower
This weekend in Provo, Jenn had two wedding showers. The first on Friday night (November 30th)was an Oldham Shower. Richard's dad is the middle of 7 boys, plus a sister. All the Oldham brothers started, have grown and run a printing business called Liberty Press. Each boy has stayed in the area and had lots of kids. Richard is one of 62 cousins that are within 10 years of his age on either side. Each time someone gets engaged, the family sponsers a shower with uncles, aunts, and cousins getting together to celebrate and give the engaged couple wedding gifts. The family first had a potluck dinner with beautifully decorated tables which Richard's mother put together. She is an extremely talented artist. (I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of the tables, I thought about it later). Since Richard and Jenn are getting married during Christmas time, all gifts were placed under a tree. The whole family gathered round, had Jenn and Richard tell their engagement story and then they opened gifts.
Saturday, Melanie and Katie sponsered a shower for all of Jenn's school friends, plus some of my favorite guests were Denae and Saren. They drove down to Provo in a snow storm to support Jenn which I thought was pretty neat
Jenn holding one of Grandma Gabrielsen's famous pieced quilts. It sure is a pretty one.

Checking out BYU Idaho
Laurie drove Steven, GAbe and a friend, Amanda Floto up to Rexburg to look over the campus and assess the housing situation. Reed was happy to see them and show them around. STeven thinks that he could enjoy going to school there.

Randee
While the "girls" (Jenn, Mel, Katie, and myself) were wedding dress shopping on Saturday, we snuck over to Distribution Center to see if Randee was working. She volunteers there every Saturday morning/afternoon for about 4 hours. It was a busy place and we searched on tip toes peering through the crowd trying to find her. Sure enough we found Sister Gabrielsen in the picture area. All workers are dressed in their Sunday best with name tags that remind me of a missionary tag. I think this picture is so cute because it captures Randee describing with her left hand, which she so often does when conversing.
She was trying to choose an appropriate picture of Mount Timpanogos and framing to match for Jenn's wedding present. It ended up being a family decision since neither Randee or I or very good at making up our minds. We ended up choosing something else, but it was fun to see Randee in uniform and action.
I slipped over to Randee's placefor a few hours on Sunday morning. Her condo was warm and inviting, pleasantly decorated in tans and maroons, organized and clean . The most recent additions is a Yamaha piano and a computer desk that neatly houses her computer and keyboard. Here is a picture of Randee playing her new piano, it beautiful with very rich tones. I wished I could have stayed longer before Randee was whisked off to church.

The Long and the Short of it.
Reed Gabrielsen, Man on the Go
This is Reed Austin Gabrielsen. His senior and missionary pictures were taken this year. He is attending BYU Idaho and enjoying it very much. He likes his missionary prep class, finds American Heritage boring, wonders about computer science as a major and likes to consult with his mother on English papers. An organ class is making good use of the years of piano practice. Notice his capable hands, they remind me of his father's.

Once upon a time....
A Pregnant Raccoon feel in love with Davy Crockett because he was a really great guy AND liked playing football with her cousin. He liked football so much he told her to swallow one for the little raccoon she was incubating. She didn't like that idea so much and decided to just cheer for Dave and her cousin John on their intramural team instead. The End
29 weeks 3 days pregnant... tiny
At a Halloween party
At an evening football game. It was always hard to take action pictures in the dark so these are of the pre-game events.
Dave warming up before the big intramural football game (which was actually during the day; hooray!). I had some pictures of the game and they turned out alright, but when all was said and done, this was the best one. This was my favorite picture of the game. I finally got a good one!! John pulled this guys flag which made me SO happy because this guy was rude. (But I think John pulled the flag because that is how you are supposed to play the game). I actually took this picture with my eyes closed because they were so close to me!
By the way; I think John's leg is very sexy with his shorts all short like that :)
